I was born and raised in Whanganui. I moved to Wellington to study psychology, and have remained since. My thesis research explored why young people (living in New Zealand) engage in suicidal behaviour.
I am a registered psychologist (trading as Switch Psychology since January 2018). I have experience working with children/young people and adults to address difficulties with mood (and affect regulation), self-harm and suicidal behaviour, substance use, harmful sexual behaviour, and sexual assaults. I work within the community and at both Arohata and Rimutaka Prisons.
The first session provides the opportunity for us to meet, discuss your reasons for therapy, and to establish if I would be suitable to help with your recovery. I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to meeting you.
