Someone with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) often has problems with social communication and interaction and restricted or repetitive behaviours or interests.

It is useful to first complete a free screening test, such as the Childhood Autism Spectrum Test (CAST) (completed by the parent/caregiver of a child aged 4 to 11 years old); Autism Spectrum Screening Questionnaire (ASSQ) (completed by the parent/caregiver of a child aged 6 to 17 years old); Autism Spectrum Quotient (AQ) (aged 16 and older); or Ritvo Autism & Asperger Diagnostic Scale (RAADS-14) (aged 18 and older).

While the assessment process (and therefore the cost) will vary depending on the situation, it will include observation, interview, and standardised assessment.  The assessment needs to be completed in person (telehealth is not appropriate).
